    At ScionHealth, our purpose is to empower the hands that heal to do what they do best. To recognize and celebrate our caregivers, whose healing hands are the foundation of everything we do, we created the Monarch Caring and Community Award in 2022. Each year, we present this award, the company’s highest honor, to exceptional caregivers at our community and specialty hospitals.

    What is the Monarch Caring and Community Award?

    ScionHealth’s Monarch Caring and Community Award is the company’s highest annual award to honor caregivers from our Specialty and Community hospital divisions. The Monarch Award recognizes exceptional, highly skilled caregivers who consistently go above and beyond to deliver excellent patient care and to elevate the patient experience. They are dedicated to supporting their colleagues and their communities, and in everything they do, they exemplify ScionHealth’s values: Valuing Every Voice, Showing Courage, and Leaning into New Ideas.

    What is the symbolism of the Monarch Caring and Community Award?

    The regal aspect of the name of the Monarch Award conveys the prestige and honor of ScionHealth’s highest award, while “monarch” and the award’s logo also suggest nature and nurturing. The monarch butterfly represents strength, endurance, and transformation. The same can be said for our most outstanding caregivers, who never tire of providing the comfort and care that transforms our patients. The Monarch Caring and Community Award evokes a sense of pride, compassion, selflessness, and commitment to doing whatever it takes to support our patients' healing journeys.
